Article: How Kurami supports your gut microbiome

How Kurami supports your gut microbiome

How Kurami supports your gut microbiome

The gut microbiome has been receiving its fair share of exposure and attention over recent years, particularly within the online health and wellness industry. Our understanding of  the true extent of the gut microbiome impact and its essential role in supporting our health and wellbeing is just scratching the surface, but one thing is for sure - it is important that we also highlight the significance of diet and nutrition when it comes to treating our microbiome right.

The microbiome refers to the trillions of bacteria, viruses and fungi in our gut, collectively known as the microbiome. With studies showing that a healthy gut is dependent on diet diversity, we understand the importance of foods rich in variety and plants, which is reflected in our carefully crafted Kurami meal plans. A 2021 study of a thousand people suggested that a diet rich in fresh, nutrient dense plant foods, such as fruits, vegetables and nuts, as well as oily fish and eggs, supported the presence of gut microorganisms which promote health. Alongside this, we all know too well about the recommendation of eating five servings of fruit vegetables per day or 5 A DAY, but what about diversity? It is understood that those consuming around 30 plants per week, had a more diverse microbiome than those who consumed lesser amounts. It is clear that our gut requires different types of plant foods to flourish, and with Kurami you can treat them to the variety that they deserve.

Our Kurami meal plans ensure that you are on track to elevate your plant goals and reach the 30g of recommended fibre per day, whilst enjoying the delicious taste and vibrant flavours of dishes with our new menu such as harissa chicken, tempeh lasagne and our breakfast favourite teff pancakes. By using carefully selected ingredients that are known to promote better all-round health, we support your journey in eating well. At the core of Kurami is an understanding of the vital importance of gut health and how taking care of your second brain can leave you feeling wonderful.

Overall,

Often referred to as our second brain, the gut impacts our overall health and wellbeing on an enormous scale. Investing in your health is one of the greatest things we can do. Feel elevated, vibrant and energised with Kurami. Discover beauty from within and explore our meal path options today.
