Kurami gives back to our oceans and land

 With World Environment Day upcoming, we wanted to celebrate. At Kurami, we are strong advocates for a better planet and supporting a sustainable lifestyle. With sustainability as one of our core pillars, acting responsibly and respecting the planet around us is key. We strive to make a positive impact and to improve in our efforts to make our operations more sustainable.

We are delighted to announce that for the entire month of June, for every Kurami order, we will plant a tree and sea kelp in countries across the globe that include Nepal, Haiti, Kenya and others. With a portion of each donation supporting the growth of kelp, your order will also contribute to the support of our oceans worldwide. These donations are made, by us, through Just One Tree, and at no extra cost to you.

The Kurami Mission

  • Kurami is certified plastic neutral. We have partnered up with rePurpose Global and make contributions to remove and recover as much plastic waste from the environment as we put into it. All Kurami meal paths have a Net Zero Plastic Footprint.
  • All our packaging is recyclable. Please make sure to recycle your Kurami packaging once it has been used.

  • We aim to source as much as possible locally. Supporting local communities and businesses is important to us, and one of the ways in which we act more sustainably as a company.

  • We consider our ecological footprint, which is why our Kurami meal paths are filled with delicious, plant-based options. Opening up your tastebuds to new flavours, and opting for ingredients such as tofu, tempeh, quinoa and plant-based Kuramylks, which are believed to have less environmental impact than a diet rich in animal products.

  • Say no to food waste! Through planning, we avoid kitchen food waste and ensure all ingredients are put to good use.
