As winter approaches, sweet potatoes emerge as a winter seasonal food that is not only incredibly delicious but also delicious.  Here are two key reasons to enjoy sweet potatoes this season:

Fuelled with Nutrients.

Sweet potatoes are rich in vitamins A and C, potassium, and fibre. They provide over a big portion of your daily vitamin A needs, essential for immune function and skin health. Their antioxidants help combat stress, keeping your body healthy throughout the colder months.

Fuelled with Energy.

As complex carbohydrates, sweet potatoes release energy slowly, helping to maintain stable blood sugar levels and keep you feeling full longer. This makes them an excellent choice for sustained energy during busy winter days. 

How to Enjoy Sweet Potatoes.

  • Roasted Sweet Potatoes: Toss cubed sweet potatoes with olive oil and your favourite spices, then roast until crispy.
  • Sweet Potato Mash: Boil or steam sweet potatoes, then mash with a splash of milk and a pinch of cinnamon.
  • Sweet Potato Soup: Blend cooked sweet potatoes with vegetable broth and spices for a warming soup.
